Frisco, Tx - April 24, 2019 - Careington International Corporation and Midwest Dental are excited to announce the successful launch of Midwest Dental's new in-house dental discount plan, Essential Smile Plan. This new program was developed in partnership with Careington and its Loyalty Markets division, Launch Loyalty.
Midwest Dental, a Dental Service Organization with over 220 dental offices in 17 states, previously offered an in-house discount program before introducing the new Essential Smile Plan. Both of these programs were built with the common goal of helping Midwest Dental's many cash-paying patients to more easily afford their dental treatment. Patient loyalty programs are no secret today, as most of the country's largest DSOs now have their own programs. In early 2018, Midwest Dental made the decision to revamp their previous program and create a more competitive plan with additional savings and more value-enhancing products. That's when Midwest Dental sought the help of Careington, an industry leader in discount health care programs and a niche Third Party Administrator offering specialized administrative services. Careington successfully helped Midwest Dental design, develop and implement a custom discount dental plan to replace their existing in-house program.
"Since the rollout of the new Essential Smile Plan, we've seen a huge response from our uninsured patient base," said Chad Hendricks, Director of Payer Strategy at Midwest Dental. "Patients are seeing the value in the program and the discount plans have allowed them the financial freedom to complete the necessary treatments. Our previous program had been in place for more than two years, and we've already doubled the number of plans accepted in just a few months. Careington made it easy and is a great partner."
Careington and its Launch Loyalty division have extensive experience helping create, refresh and manage in-house discount programs for dental offices, but it was their hands-on training, product aggregation capabilities and industry expertise that would bring success to Midwest Dental's new plan. The new Launch Loyalty Essential Smile Plan program has been a tremendous success for Midwest Dental and its dental practices.
"There are a few components that can make or break an in-house plan - the plan itself, initial and ongoing training and dental office staff buy-in," said Lauren Kelly, Director of Strategic Markets at Careington. "In partnership with Midwest Dental, I believe our organizations have truly excelled in hitting all three nails on the head. Everything from meeting and training Midwest Dental's 220+ dental practices in person to the elements of the plan that make it so exciting for the staff and their patients have attributed to this plan's success."
